Update as of 8/8/2024

Bayou Region,

I hope you have been enjoying the summer with family and friends!  I'm sure lots of vacations took place as well!  Firstly, I'm still getting kicked out of Facebook, so not sure how much I'll be able to post there, but Anna Chauvin did offer to post things while I figure this Facebook issue.  Secondly, our last scheduled meeting in June only had 4 members show up including myself, but fortunately there were issues with the restaurant booking that forced us to cancel that meeting.  From that meeting, it was decided not to plan a meeting in July due to an anticipated low turn out.  Now that it is August, I currently do not have a meeting sponsor, but working on some options for us this month.  The months of September, October, and November are already being planned with interested sponsors.  Lastly, I hope to see you all for LANP's annual state conference that is in Baton Rouge this year!  Remember supporting this conference is not just about attaining CEs or networking with fellow NPs (which are good reasons on their own), it is about supporting the only organization in the state that is advocating for positive changes to your practice in the state of Louisiana, and fighting against negative changes that threaten your practice.  Highly consider attending and supporting this conference!  Hope to see you all soon!
